(jp) = Carson Briere, the son of former NHL player and interim Philadelphia Flyers GM Daniel Briere, has been accused of pushing an empty wheelchair down the stairs at a bar in a disturbing surveillance video. The incident was reported by Twitter user Julia Zukowski. Briere, who is a junior at Mercyhurst University and a hockey player, apologized and took responsibility for his actions in a statement. The incident is now under investigation by Erie police. A GoFundMe campaign was also started to raise funds for new wheelchairs and support disability rights organizations. Briere was recently appointed interim GM for the Flyers.
