(jp) = The family of former NFL player Stanley Wilson Jr. believes he died as a result of being beaten by law enforcement before his sudden death last month in a state mental health facility in Los Angeles County. The family has filed a legal claim against Los Angeles County, seeking more than $45m in damages. Photos of Wilson’s head injuries allegedly show he was kicked or stomped by law enforcement, while images of his wrist bandages indicate he was restrained during the attack. Wilson had faced previous legal issues related to burglary and vandalism.
