(jp) = Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is rumored to be running for president in 2024, has criticized President Biden’s support for Ukraine, stating that helping European countries to avoid aggression from Russia isn’t a matter of national interest. Responding to an inquiry from Tucker Carlson, DeSantis claimed that securing the US border, dealing with military readiness crises, achieving energy security and independence, and checking the economic, cultural, and military power of the Chinese Communist Party are among various issues involving the US. He argued that the US should not provide weapons and funding to Ukraine and that escalating foreign wars should not take priority over national defense. DeSantis’ views on Ukraine are in line with those of former President Donald Trump, who also believed that opposition to Russia in Ukraine is not a key US strategic interest.
