(jp) = Brazilian defender Dani Alves reportedly suffered a breakdown and refused contact with anyone after his Spanish wife Joana Sanz announced the end of their relationship following his arrest for sexual assault. According to Diario Sport, Alves has been “hiding in his cell” and “doesn’t want to see anyone” since Sanz made her announcement in a handwritten letter on social media. Ney Alves, Dani’s brother, posted a video on Instagram about a man who claimed Alves had sexually assaulted another girl in a Barcelona nightclub on 30 December. Alves currently remains in custody pending trial after bail was denied.
